Autoelectro, one of the UK's largest remanufacturers of alternators and starter motors, is to implement MAM Software's Autonet business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions to improve its customer service and increase its sales processing efficiency. The company will deploy MAM's 'Autonet Online' web portal and 'Autonet Autopart Seller' connectivity solutions to provide both online and application-based access to its product and price data.

Autonet Online is a web portal that is accessed through a browser. Using the integrated parts catalogue, Autoelectro's factor customers can identify components, check pricing and availability, place orders and access account information.

Autonet Autopart Seller is an application-to-application (A2A) solution for customers that use MAM's Autopart software. It allows them to check prices and availability, and place orders directly from within their own purchase ordering screens.

Both Autonet solutions provide real-time connectivity to Autoelecto's own Autopart system. All orders raised by customers are instantly acknowledged and arrive immediately at Autoelecto's point-of-sale for processing.

"We are a very quality-conscious company and are always looking at ways in which we can improve our levels of customer service" said Tony Bhogal, Autoelectro's Managing Director. "We're very receptive to new technology and the MAM Autonet solutions we are implementing are excellent examples of how internet services can be used to streamline the purchasing process."

"Around 70% of our customers use MAM's Autopart, so we're deploying Autonet Autopart Seller to give them direct access to our products and prices. Autonet Online will give the remainder the opportunity to order from a web browser."

"Both solutions allow our customers to use Autoelectro as a virtual warehouse" Tony Bhogal continued. "Now factors can service their customers 24/7 without having to phone us first. It makes the sales process more efficient and professional for everyone involved. The end user won't even know the product isn't coming out of the factor's own stock."
