Peter Baxter, Managing Director of Allmake Motor Parts Ltd. in Norfolk, has announced that the motor factor is now offering online ordering through MAM Software's Autonet Online portal. Garages and workshops can place orders for delivery through their website at www.allmakemotorparts.com
Allmake Motor Parts is one of the first companies to embrace MAM's new Autonet Online parts catalogue and shopping basket application. Leveraging the latest Internet technologies, the software enables businesses to receive online orders directly into their branch management software. It is designed to streamline the sales process by empowering customers to identify and order their own parts.
"It is important that the trade as a whole makes the most of the benefits to be had from new technology in these challenging times" explained Peter. "We are proud to be the first motor factor in East Anglia to put our catalogue online. We are always looking for new ways to satisfy our customers and increase sales. Autonet Online helps us do both by providing customers with an efficient online order process and making our website an active sales tool for the company."
Allmake Motor Parts' customers can now check stock, order parts or manage their account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Using a standard web browser, they can order parts from any location that has Internet access, be it from work or from the convenience of their own home.
Kenny Ashton, owner of Ashton Autos, Norfolk, who is one of the first users of portal, said: "I already use the Internet regularly for home and business, so it’s great to be able to place my parts orders online whenever I want. The other services are really useful too, especially the ability to access my account online and view my invoices, payments and credit notes."
"As our customers become more comfortable making purchases online, we expect to see marked improvements in productivity" concluded Peter. "Orders raised online are transmitted directly to our Autopart management system, bypassing staff and phones. Not only does this free up staff, it also cuts the time taken to process transactions and helps minimise errors by eliminating re-keying mistakes."
