MAM Software today announced that KYB UK is to use MAM's Automate suite to enhance and publish its catalogue data. Automate will help KYB significantly improve the quality of its product data and become self-sufficient in publishing information to MAM's Autocat+ parts catalogue.

KYB is the world's largest supplier of shock absorbers to vehicle manufacturers. Over 1 million KYB shock absorbers are manufactured every week. KYB UK supplies a network of distributors across the UK and Eire, offering over 99% availability. The company will use Automate to standardise information across its UK range, identify gaps in its coverage and contribute accurate data to MAM's Autocat+ parts catalogue.

Incorporating MAM's unique Makes and Models Index (MMI), Automate will enable KYB to develop a consistent data structure, which will improve catalogue matching and increase customer confidence. Automate will verify KYB's data, produce reject reports and help them perform gap analysis. It will also highlight new UK vehicle models and facilitate the conversion of data arriving from its European headquarters.

"Automate will provide invaluable assistance in defining and promoting our product offering in the UK aftermarket" said Julian Rose, Coil Spring Product Manager at KYB Europe. "As a global supplier, our product data source is from a European electronic catalogue provider who's vehicle information doesn't always match the specific models of the UK market. Automate's unique makes and models index will allow KYB UK to edit its European data to meet local requirements."

"Automate puts us in control of our own data. We can upload new product ranges and make our own corrections and amendments. It's crucial that our customers have access to accurate and up-to-date information about our products."

"We are delighted that KYB recognise the value of good quality catalogue data" said MAM Software's Ian Penny. "Accurate data means less catalogue errors and fewer returns for factors and garages. This increases customer confidence, which results in increased sales. We are pleased that Automate will play a significant role in helping KYB enhance its offering and improve its customer service."
