KYB UK, the leading supplier of shock absorbers, is the latest in a line of high profile companies to sign up to MAM's Autonet connectivity solution - a supply chain solution designed to simplify electronic trading in the automotive aftermarket.
KYB is a world leading manufacturer of shock absorbers and is the largest OE supplier both in Europe and the world, with 23% of all new cars worldwide fitted with KYB on the production line. The company supplies over 30% of the UK aftermarket from its 25,000 sq ft distribution centre in Warrington.
The implementation of Autonet has enabled KYB to take advantage of the recently announced PACT agreement and transact electronically with its customers via the TecCom and ABS eparts trading platforms.
Autonet acts as a translator between the back-end of KYB's existing Autopart management system and the the TecCom and ABS eparts trading platforms. Using compatible software, KYB's customers can now check stock availability and pricing, order stock and receive acknowledgements and invoices.
"The advantage of Autonet is its universal compatibility and the amount of time it saves," said Julian Rose, Operations Manager at KYB UK. "Autonet, together with Autopart, has enabled us to automate many of our routine transactions. Orders are received, processed and completed much faster - now things happen in a matter of seconds."
KYB is the latest name on a growing list of aftermarket suppliers signing up to Autonet. Over 50 UK suppliers and 200 factors now use Autonet to facilitate some form of electronic trading.
