MAM Software today announced that Mountney Ltd. is using Automate to manage and publish its catalogue data. The catalogue data management solution will help the parts and accessories supplier to offer accurate fitment guides for its Summit mirror glass, Automaxi passenger vehicle roofbars and Cruz LCV and 4x4 roofbars.

Mountney Ltd. has been established for over 25 years, sourcing, manufacturing and distributing motor accessories to the motor and allied trades. With an extensive range of constantly updating products, Automate will help Mountney identify gaps in coverage and regularly upload accurate data to MAM's Autocat+ parts catalogue.

Incorporating MAM's unique Makes and Models Index (MMI), Automate will enable Mountney to develop a consistent data structure that will improve catalogue matching and increase customer confidence. Automate will verify data, produce reject reports and perform gap analysis. It will also highlight new UK vehicle models to facilitate the introduction of new product ranges.

"At Mountney we are continually investing in new products, computer technology and training to ensure we offer the best possible service to our customers" said Dan Kimpton, Business Development Manager at Mountney Ltd.

"By integrating the MAM MMI unique number into our own application data, we can increase the accuracy of our fitment references. Users of MAM's Autocat+ catalogue just need to enter a registration number to identify the correct roofbars or mirror glass.

"The Automate software allows us to update the Autocat+ catalogue at our convenience, meaning any new products we have can be added instantly. The new MMI listing each month means we know when there is a new vehicle to develop a product for, or add the application if we have a suitable product."

"We are delighted that Mountney has chosen Automate to increase the quality of its catalogue data" said MAM Software's Ian Penny. "Accurate data means fewer catalogue errors and ensures that the correct items are supplied. This raises customer confidence, which results in increased sales. We are pleased that Automate will play a significant role in helping Mountney enhance its offering and improve its customer service."
