A J Paveley & Co is a family-run plumbing and pipe-fitting suppliers based in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. The company offers a vast range of products and prides itself on being able to supply even the most specialist items. As well as serving local tradesmen and DIYers, Paveleys also supplies facilities management departments at a number of the region's blue-chip companies including Land Rover and Cadbury.
"When dealing with large blue chip organisations, attention to detail is essential" explained Peter Hancox, Paveley's Managing Director. "For example, supplying the wrong valve to Cadbury could not only cause production downtime, it could also have potentially hazardous health and safety implications".
"Thanks to our new Trader system, we have 100% confidence that all items are being booked out correctly. Quite often, products we supply are special order, high value items. Trader gives us the ability to manage the whole process from purchase to sale, tracking all the related documents."
Trader has a number of routines for handling the purchase and sale of special orders including the automatic allocation of back-ordered goods when they arrive. The latest release R009 includes several new features including the block importing and search highlighting of non-stocked items.
