MAM Software Ltd. - a subsidiary of Aftersoft Group Inc. and a leading provider of business management software solutions - today reported a marked increase in the use of its Autonet Online business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions, with over 1500 end-user connections now active nationwide.
Autonet Online is an off-the-shelf parts ordering portal that enables distributors and wholesalers to sell products online to their trade customers. It includes an electronic catalogue with VRM for easy parts identification, real-time pricing and availability, and a comprehensive account enquiry facility.
All orders placed through Autonet Online are immediately transferred back to the seller for processing. Incoming orders can be configured to appear in point-of-sale for verification or processed automatically to produce a picking note, invoice or backorder.
Autonet Online has been deployed by an increasing number of companies throughout the automotive aftermarket. Together, they now have over 1500 end-users – predominantly garages and workshops – actively trading using the system.
Allmake Motor Parts was one of the first companies to embrace Autonet Online and actively trades with a growing number of garages throughout East Anglia.
"We're very happy with Autonet Online" explained Peter Baxter, Managing Director. "We are always looking for new ways to satisfy our customers and increase sales. Autonet Online helps us do both by providing customers with an efficient online order process and making our website an active sales tool for the company."
"Autonet Online has helped us improve our productivity" he continued. "Orders raised online are transmitted directly to our Autopart management system, bypassing staff and phones. Not only does this free up staff, it also cuts the time taken to process transactions and helps minimise errors by eliminating re-keying mistakes."
Kenny Ashton, owner of Ashton Autos, Norfolk, is an active user of the portal. "I already use the Internet regularly for home and business, so it’s great to be able to place my parts orders online whenever I want. The other services are really useful too, especially the ability to access my account online and view my invoices, payments and credit notes" he said.
"To reach this milestone is a major achievement and an indication of the value that Autonet Online adds to both factors and their customers" said Mike Jamieson, MAM Sofware's Managing Director. "Autonet Online empowers businesses to conduct transactions electronically and to become more efficient. It helps companies enhance their competitive nature by lowering personnel requirements and reducing transaction costs. Customer service is improved too, as 24-hour ordering and automated replies expand operational flexibility and increase responsiveness."
Autonet Online is one of a suite of Autonet-branded e-commerce solutions from MAM Software. This range also includes a ready-made website solution (Autonet Retail) and a comprehensive web-based garage management application (Autowork Online).
