MAM Software announced today that SES Autoparts, a major South West motor factor, has decided to upgrade to MAM's Autopart v20 ERP software for the management of its ten-branch operation. The solution will include the installation of new hosted servers and an MAM Network Solutions (MNS) wide-area-network linking the Romsey head office and its ten branches.
"Our decision to upgrade to the latest version of Autopart was fuelled by its ability to improve our stock management" said Mark Rigler, Sales Director at SES Autoparts. "The new network and database infrastructure will give us real-time access to information throughout the branch network."
"With its branch transfer and stock levelling routines, Autopart v20 will provide total control over our entire branch stock. Replacing purchases with transfers will streamline our stock holding and the new 'suggested returns to suppliers' functionality will help recoup capital tied up in unwanted stock."
SES will also be implementing MAM's new EMI+ v2.0 business intelligence tool. By analysing past sales performance, EMI+ will help SES predict future demand for its products at each branch.
"As a business that operates multiple branches, SES Autoparts needs powerful and accurate stock management" commented Mike Jamieson, Managing Director at MAM Software. "Autopart v20 will enable them to control their stock movements and manage their sales and procurement processes. Data from these transactions will be analysed in EMI+, providing SES with a detailed examination of current performance and helping to forecast future demand."
"SES Autopart's decision to implement Autopart v20 shows their confidence in the product and its future direction, and is also a further indication of MAM's continued strength in the automotive aftermarket."
