As part of its continued transformation into new markets, MAM Software will introduce its new software and service offerings to potential customers at Interbuild at the NEC, Birmingham from April 23-27 2006. Interbuild is the largest event for the building industry in the UK and is MAM Software’s first major non-automotive trade show.

Making its show debut will be Trader, MAM’s innovative new software designed specifically for merchants, distributors and retailers in the building and allied trades.

Trader is a comprehensive management application designed to help wholesale distributors improve their business performance. Employing Microsoft® Windows® SQL database technology, Trader provides a fully integrated business environment that can help streamline internal operations, improve customer service and maximise profitability. Trader is fully scaleable and is ideal for businesses of any size, including multi-user, multi-branch operations.

Trader is built on over twenty years' experience of developing retail and wholesale distribution applications. Utilising the proven foundations of established software, Trader incorporates a number of features designed to meet the specific requirements of builders-, plumbers- and timber-merchants. These include comprehensive facilities for retail and wholesale order processing, purchase administration, stock control, ledger accounting and management reporting.

After twenty-one years of producing award-winning automotive software, MAM Software is excited about its first foray into the building trades arena. The company is confident that its long history in successfully developing high-quality software for automotive parts distributors and retailers will serve it well in developing and marketing Trader.

"We are excited about attending Interbuild this year and reaching out to prospective customers who may not yet know us," said Mike Jamieson, managing director of MAM Software. "Over the past twenty-one years we have serviced a number of industries outside our core market, including builders merchants and tile stockists. We believe that the developments we've undertaken for these businesses, together with the experience we've gained in automotive distribution, clearly positions MAM to deliver valuable applications to the building industry."

MAM Software representatives will be available to discuss their software for builders-, plumbers- and timber-merchants at stand number IT04K in the IT Showcase Arena.
